Dysart school board reduces public commenting time

Without a vote or discussion, the Dysart Unified School District governing board has muted individual public commenting time in half, leaving people 90 seconds to speak.

A change that would have otherwise gone unnoticed was brought to the forefront during the Oct. 5 board meeting in Surprise.

Lisa Everett, the last person to speak during the public comment section, reminded board members about the Constitutional right to speak and have a voice in matters concerning the public.
