The two smallest new flag football schools in the Surprise area are off to fairly fast starts.
Along with the four Dysart Unified School District high schools, Paradise Honors High also started a team this year. The Panthers’ opener was an exercise in frustration, losing 9- 7 to Lee Williams Sept. 18 in Kingman.
Conversely, the Sept. 24 home opener against Dysart was a Panther party. A 20- point second quarter, featuring three touchdown passes by sophomore quarterback Amara May, fueled a 34- 12 win.
