Several local teachers received mini-grants in the Dysart Unified School District.
Seventeen DUSD teachers were awarded the funds by the Dysart Education Foundation for a total of $16,050, thanks to the generosity of sponsors Southwest Foodservice Excellence, the city of Surprise Community Outreach Grant and the Russo Trust.
“DEF mini-grants enable Dysart teachers to try innovative classroom projects. We provide the grants to encourage and inspire Dysart’s teaching staff,” Billie Laird, Dysart education foundation president.
