A nearly half a million dollar grant will give Dysart Unified School District students greater opportunities.
The Arizona Transportation Modernization Grant Program awarded DUSD with $450,000, which will fund a shuttle system through the purchase of 14-passenger buses to get students enrolled in the career and technical education programs that attend the Northwest Campus of West-MEC to and from campus.
Currently, students attending classes at the northwest campus of West-MEC, must provide their own transportation. But this can serve as a roadblock in a student’s education.
