The Dysart Unified School District is facing staffing challenges during the continuing coronavirus pandemic, and officials there are trying to find solutions to work through a difficult time.
District officials are seeing higher-than-normal staff absences for a variety of reasons, including personal or family illnesses. Filling positions is difficult because of all the movement in the job market, with companies and governments now seeming in a bidding war for employees’ services.
Renee Ryon, director of communications and publications with the district, said at this time there is a need for substitute teachers, classroom aides, preschool and child care facilitators, as well as a continuing need for bus driver and aides.
