Could you write a follow up article on the impact of noise, pollution, and traffic?
I moved to Peoria a few years ago from Los Angeles where I lived near the very busy and profitable Van Nuys airport. It was great for business and terrible for residents. The same is true for the Burbank airport. Residents have done everything possible to stop its expansion because of the negative impact.
Sadly, once an airport is in place, it's impossible to remove or constrain. I would hate to see an airport in Peoria and I think the vast majority of homeowners would agree with me.
We don't need a steady stream of private and commercial jets flying overhead. We shouldn't sacrifice our quality of life on the altar of business.
