A stern warning was issued by Dysart Unified School District officials following a rash of school threats that made its way to the local student body and staff.
During the Sept. 12 governing board meeting, the Surprise and El Mirage police departments were thanked for working with the district to investigate recent school threats and rumors. John Croteau, DUSD superintendent, addressed a “great difficult week with some threats on various campuses across the state, across the nation.”
Thanking the local police departments, Croteau assured the governing board and the public that threats are taken seriously.
