Dueling SUSD investigations requested by board members never conducted

The public will not get to see the results of Scottsdale Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Scott Menzel’s investigation into three governing board members’ actions.

The board reviewed the results on the investigations during an executive session with an attorney present Aug. 8, thereby making them off limits to the public.

“Attorney-client privilege does not permit the board to reveal the advice received,” district spokeswoman Kristen Harrington wrote in an email to the Daily Independent.
