Drug arrest in Pinal County nets 40.5 pounds of cocaine

A traffic stop in Casa Grande led to an arrest and the seizure of 40.5 pounds of cocaine, authorities said Thursday.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper recently stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe near westbound Interstate 10 and Sunland Gin Road, according to a DPS release.

During the traffic stop, the trooper asked for assistance from a Drug Enforcement Bureau, Southern Canine District trooper.
