Driving between the Valley, Las Vegas just became easier

The first of two new bridges on a project to connect the Valley and Las Vegas via US 93 is open, state transportation officials said.

The bridge over Cane Springs Wash represents “one of the most visible signs of progress” on a $50 million project to widen what is now a two-lane segment of US 93 between Wikieup and Interstate 40, according to an Arizona Department of Transportation release.

The project, which began in early 2025, is 75% complete.
