Driveway could be moved at planned Apache Junction wedding venue

The Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday will consider a conditional use permit request to change the location of a driveway at a planned wedding venue and event center north of Old West Highway between South Cortez and South Starr roads.

The commission meets at 7 p.m. July 12 in the City Council Chambers. 300 E. Superstition Blvd.

Becoming One Properties LLC on Aug. 10, 2021, was granted a conditional use permit for an event center with an allowance for outdoor activities, according to a written staff report.

The amendment proposes to move the access driveway from the East 18th Avenue and South Starr Road intersection to a location further south to the 20th Avenue alignment, running across the applicant’s private property, it states.
