Drivers to encounter weekend freeway work at 7 Valley locations

Freeway and ramp closures and restrictions will affect travel along Valley freeways from Friday night until Monday morning.

State transportation officials announced the following work from Aug. 14-17:

Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed between 75th and 51st avenues in the Northwest Valley from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
