Drivers deal with weekend closures, restrictions on SR 51, Loop 303, I-17

Three Valley freeway improvement projects will affect travel this weekend along Loop 303, Interstate 17 and State Route 51, state transportation officials said Thursday.

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced the following work from Friday night, March 20, until Monday morning, March 23:

Southbound State Route 51 will be closed between Northern and Highland avenues in Phoenix from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for asphalt removal.
