Drivers: Prepare for weekend freeway closures along I-10, SR 51, Loop 101

Closed roads and lane restrictions for improvement projects are scheduled along several Valley freeways this weekend, May 15-18, state transportation officials said.

Here is what drivers should expect:

  • Southbound State Route 51 will be closed between Northern and Highland avenues (south of Camelback Road) from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvements.
