Drivers face weekend closures along SR 51, Loops 101, 202

Weekend freeway work will close sections of three Valley freeways from Friday night to Monday morning.

Drivers in the following area can expect to encounter detours, delays and lane restrictions in these areas, June 5-8, state transportation officials said.

  • Southbound State Route 51 will be closed between Indian School Road and Interstate 10 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project.
