Driver asks others to follow handicapped parking rules

Posted

All too often I see and sometimes know people who are parking in a handicapped parking space because their spouse has a handicap tag, but they are not in the car.

If your vehicle has a handicap tag and you are not handicapped and the only one in the car, please do not park in the handicap spot! Is it that hard to walk an extra 10 to 20 feet more?

Drivers who do that are making someone who is truly handicapped walk those extra feet because they’re too lazy to park elsewhere.

Park where you should, and do the walk! Be thankful that you don’t need it yourself because some day you just might truly need that handicapped spot and there is none available for you to park in due to the fact that someone was too lazy to park elsewhere.
