Drama-free LD26 primaries shift to crowded general election race

There was not much drama in the Legislative District 26 primary race. The race starts in earnest now with a crowded field of candidates on the general election ballot.

The Republican and Democrat primaries for Arizona Senate in the district were uncontested. Each party had two candidates for the Arizona Senate, but there are two house seats per district, meaning all four candidates will advance to the general election. The Green Party also ran a candidate for the Arizona House to make it five candidates vying for two spots in the general election.

The one thing the early unofficial results from Tuesday's primary do is give an idea which of the Republican and Democrat candidates are stronger, at least among their own party.
