A woman was injured after a gunman fired at a vehicle along State Route 88 near Apache Junction on Thursday night, and state authorities are asking the public for any information about the shooting.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety received a report of the shooting at about 10:37 p.m. March 5 near milepost 203 of SR 88.

A suspect fired from a vehicle, striking another vehicle and injuring the woman who sustained a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a DPS release stated on Friday.

A woman was injured after a gunman fired at a vehicle along State Route 88 near Apache Junction on Thursday night, and state authorities are asking the public for any information about the shooting.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety received a report of the shooting at about 10:37 p.m. March 5 near milepost 203 of SR 88.

A suspect fired from a vehicle, striking another vehicle and injuring the woman who sustained a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a DPS release stated on Friday.

The shooting is being investigated by the AZDPS Major Crimes District.
