Downtown mixed-use high-rise planned next to Footprint Center

A 25-story, 270-foot mixed-use building is planned next to Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix.

The building, at the southwest corner of First and Jackson streets, will be called The Blue and will include a restaurant and retail on the first floor, a five-star hotel above that and condominiums on the top floors.

City Council approved three zoning designations related to the process last year. The next step is the airport zoning map related to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to allow for building heights above 250 feet on the property.
