Douglas Nelson Sage

SUN CITY - Douglas (Doug) Nelson Sage was born on October 24, 1945 in Warsaw, New York, to Charles Sage and Mable Hamilton Sage. He was the youngest of six children and passed away in his sleep on June 19, 2016 at the age of 70. Doug was very proud to have served in the Marine corps during the Veitnam War and he later married Gale Draper (deceased) of Pavilion, New York. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Whitmer (Ron); and sons, Scott Sage (Tammy) and Charles Sage (Haddi); grandchildren, Shelbie (Derek), Tiffany (Cody), Bryce (McKenzie), Michael (Chrissy), Caleb, Breanna, Virgil, Cylie, Nathan and Charlene; great-grandchildren, Colten, Issac, Jaxen, Ruthlynn, Abbey, Joel, Trinity, Chance, Madi and Paisley. Doug moved his young family to Glendale, Arizona in 1972, and soon thereafter became a mailman, Doug retired from the US postal service in 2012. Memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.
