Domestic violence appears to have led to a shooting in Buckeye that sent a woman and man to a hospital, police said.
The Buckeye Police Department received a call about 10:45 a.m. Nov. 19 regarding the shooting near McDowell Road and Sienna Hills Parkway where they found a woman in her early 20s on the ground in the doorway of a home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in her back, according to a release.
The also found a man in his early 20s on the ground in front the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.

The Buckeye Police Department received a call about 10:45 a.m. Nov. 19 regarding the shooting near McDowell Road and Sienna Hills Parkway where they found a woman in her early 20s on the ground in the doorway of a home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in her back, according to a release.
The also found a man in his early 20s on the ground in front the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.
The woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The man, identified Wednesday as 23-year-old Jayden Kidd, was transported for care with life-threatening injuries, police said. He died at a hospital.
“This appears to have been a domestic violence situation with victim and suspect being former romantic partners,” police stated in a release.
