Dorothy Rich Armstrong

SUN CITY WEST – Dorothy Rich Armstrong, 96, of Sun City West, Arizona, died on June 6, 2017 in her home. Dorothy was born on December 21, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry Lee and Erma (Erminnie Harris) Linford Rich. She graduated from South High School. She married Joseph Roe Armstrong on October 18, 1939 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She lived in Idaho and California before moving to Arizona in 1982. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sun City West Ward. She is survived by her son Darrel (Linda), daughters Pamela Pixton, Debra (Paul) Yates and Diana (Paul) Cannon, brother Garry Rich, 17 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, sister Ruth Adams, brother Clyde Rich, daughter Jessie, and granddaughter Desiree Pixton. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 23, at 11 a.m. at Sun City West Ward, 23391 N. 166th Dr., Surprise, AZ. Visitation for friends of the family at 10 a.m. prior to the funeral.
