OAK PARK HEIGHTS, Minn. - Dorothy Phyllis Vinje, age 91, of Oak Park Heights, Minn., died peacefully on May 19, 2014. She was born on April 27, 1923 in Appleton, Minn., graduated from Abbott Northwestern Nursing School and served at St. Albans Hospital in New York during WWII. She was married to the late Robert Vinje of Morris, Minn. They lived in Minneapolis, Minn. and Sun City West, Ariz. Preceding her in death are her parents, Ed and Laura; siblings, Dale Anderson and Dennis (Lucille) Anderson. She is survived by her children, Keith (Mary) Vinje and Nancy (Roy) Holmboe; grandchildren, Nick Vinje, Chris (Melinda) Vinje and Andy Holmboe; sister, Delores Forss; brother David (Maureen) Anderson; sister-in-law, Jean Anderson; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, Ariz.
