Dorothy Jean Larsen

SUN CITY WEST - Dorothy Jean Larsen passed away June 14, 2014. Dorothy was a beautiful & elegant lady, generous & loving, & had a great sense of humor. She was born on April 21, 1931 in Anchorage, Alaska to Emil & Margaret Harlacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years. Their mutual love of travel, cruises, beauty in all forms, animals & birds, & their maltese pets made their life ideal. They had lived in India, Turkey, & South Korea. Dorothy worked for the Municipality of Anchorage for 28 years and retired as an Accountant in 1983. She was a member of the Sun City West Singles Club, The Connections, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Alaska Yukon Pioneers, & the Salvation Army, to name a few. She had served as President of the Anchorage Newcomer's Club & as Salvation Army Auxiliary Vice-President. Her interests included arts, theatre, fashion modeling; interior decorating, cooking, gardening, & playing bridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Valley, 17225 N Boswell Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85373. A celebration of life is set for Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. We will always love you, Dorothy. God bless.
