When Proposition 207 was first envisioned, the novel coronavirus had yet to reach America and few might have imagined the new risks posed by smoking pot during a deadly pandemic.
But Dr. Daniel E. Brooks, medical director at the Banner Poison & Drug Information Center at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix, said marijuana use could both increase chances of infection and adverse effects for those who use the now-legal drug.
