Now through Tuesday, July 4, Arizonans’ donations to Folds of Honor will be doubled.
Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to fund educational scholarships for families of deceased or disabled military service members, which ultimately gives recipients hope and the opportunity to live the very future that their soldier fought to secure.
Donations of all amounts will be matched due to an underwriting partnership that will double the funding and impact of these scholarships, according to a press release. That translates to many children or spouses being given the funds needed to pursue their educations.

Director of Operations Rachael Chapman explains that “Folds’ motto is ‘Honor Their Sacrifice. Educate Their Legacies.’ This 13-day campaign facilitates exactly that, in spectacular fashion.”
In the 2021-22 academic year, 84 scholarships of value totaling $410,000 were awarded within the state of Arizona, the press release stated. Since Fold of Honor’s 2007 inception, 35,000 educational scholarships, with a total value near $160 million, have been awarded nationally, with $2.18 million of that staying with Arizona military families. Minority recipients represent 41% of all scholarships awarded nationally.
