Local nonprofit UMOM received a huge donation to support its mission of providing emergency shelter and supportive services for the homeless community.

Custom Fundraising Solutions and its vendor partner, Simmons-Serta, following their annual bedding conference in Glendale, donated 90 mattresses along with 30 box springs and frames, 10 platform frames, and a handful of adjustable bases.

CFS is a nationwide bedding retail organization that sells mattresses in schools as a fundraiser to benefit extracurricular programs.

Volunteers from CFS, Simmons-Serta packed and loaded trucks for UMOM at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa, at 9495 Entertainment Blvd.

“Following our national conference, with the help of our dealers and vendor partners, we were able to donate 90 mattresses along with assorted bedding products to UMOM, furthering our impact to the community while promoting better sleep,” Michael Logue, CFS national sales director, shared in a statement.

UMOM provides shelter and transitional housing for families who are experiencing homelessness.

“This was an essential and substantial donation to UMOM, being items we provide to families as they transition from our shelters into their own homes to help with creating the foundation for the families as they are rebuilding and getting back on their feet,” Aaron Iverson, UMOM director of logistics and facilities, shared.
