Donald, born in Richmond, Indiana and an Arizona resident for over 43 years, passed away in Phoenix at age 75. Loving known as Don, he was the second born son of Samuel Elsworth Harris and Helen Brown Harris. He joins in Heaven his parents, Elder Brother Samueal Albert, Brother Robert Ronald, Daughters Bobbie Joe, Helen Melinda and son Donald Richard Harris Jr. Leaving behind; ex-wife Deborah Harris Jones, Sister Gene Anne Harris-Westover, sister Jane Ellen Harris-Blanton, Brother Bruce David Harris and devoted partner for over 14 years Claire Tesar. Don was a highly decorated Vietnam War hero with valor above and beyond the call of duty. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman extraordinaire. Simply put, to know him was to love him. He will be missed beyond words. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 3, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Love Gospel Church, 1890 S. Plaza Dr., Apache Junction, Az 85120.
