APACHE JUNCTION - Donald E. Maynard, 80, of Apache Junction, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 in Mesa. Mr. Maynard, a veteran, was born in Westfield, Mass. Survivors include his daughters, Paula (deceased) and Karla; son-in-law Naveen; and two grandchildren, Rajan (deceased) and Anjuli. Don was a dedicated member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and held many offices including 1988-89 State Commander. A memorial service was held for Mr. Maynard at the VFW Post #7968, 250 S. Phelps Drive, Apache Junction, on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. Mr. Maynard was laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Cave Creek, on Monday, November 17, 2014, at 12:30 p.m.
