Donald Arthur Benoit

Donald, 89, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, in Sun City West, Arizona. Born in 1936 and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Donald was the beloved son of Arthur and Doris Benoit.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1954-1962 as a machinist’s mate aboard the USS Amphion. After his service, he married his high school sweetheart, Janet Garny. They were married for 67 years.
He built a career in the metallurgy industry, serving in leadership roles including Vice President at Reese Powdered Metals, Presmet Corporation, and later Marlmark Industries. He served his community in Sun City West as the Sandridge HOA president for 15 years.
Don loved spending time on the golf course and could often be found in his workshop, tinkering and fixing whatever needed attention. He was an avid reader of novels.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Benoit, Sun City West, Arizona. His two sons, John Benoit, Peoria, Arizona, Jim Benoit, Port Orange, Florida. His grandchildren, Nathan Benoit, Bangkok Thailand, James Benoit, Port Orange, Florida, Nicole Benoit, St. Petersburg, Florida and his great grandson Tristin Dodson, Lancaster, PA.
A memorial service will be held at Camino del Sol in Sun City West at a later time.
