Richardson, 92 SUN CITY - Domenica (Sunday) Maria Richardsoon entered her eternal rest at Pacifica Senior Living on April 30, 2013 at the age of 92. Sunday was born in St Gallen, Switzerland in 1920. She traveled Europe extensively with her family as a child. She studied history at universities in Switzerland, Italy and Turkey before meeting and marrying her military beau. She spent her adult life as a homemaker and mother, but many of those years involved moving around the world with her Air Force husband. They finally settled down in Peoria, Az. in 1979. Sunday was a very active member at First Presbyterian Church of Sun City, holding offices, volunteering and visiting the ill. She also enjoyed playing bridge and walking. She participated in many senior walking events in the Phoenix area, frequently finishing in the top 5 for her age group. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the WWII War Brides and the Arizona Swiss Club. Sunday is predeceased by her husband of 58 yrs., James (Rich) Donald Richardson; two sisters, Ottilia and Marianne; and her brother, Balthazar. Sunday is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jane Richardson of Peoria, Az. and Susie Shapiro (Marty) of Glendale, Az.; her grandchildren, Michelle (George), Debbie and Chris (Stacey); and her great-grandchildren, Ian, Madelyn, Brooklyn, Cohen, Chloe and Logan. A memorial service was held at First Presbyterian Church of Sun City, 12225 N 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351 (623) 974-3605 on Monday May 6, 2013.
