SUN CITY WEST - Dolores Carolyn Brown Scott died peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at Chaparral Winds. She was born Feb. 23, 1927 in Baltimore, Md. to the late Howard and Eva Brown. Dolores is sister of E. Frances Lockwood of Baltimore, and the late Harold and Gilbert Brown. Dolores is a graduate of Coppin Teacher's College in Baltimore and she completed graduate work at the University of Maryland. After 30 years of service, she retired as a librarian from the Baltimore City Public School System. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed making clothes and decorating her home. Also, she had a great love for pet dogs and cats. When her husband was alive, they traveled around the United States, Europe and Asia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin "Billy" Scott who died in 2007. Dolores is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Interment will be in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Cave Creek Road. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
