Dolores Ann “Dee” Daley
Posted
Dolores, age 94, of Sun City West, Arizona passed away peacefully on Saturday April 19, 2025, with her son and daughter-in-law at her side. She was the daughter of Fred and Marie Schroeder of West Point, Nebraska. Dee was born in 1930 and raised on the family farm. She had an enduring love for animals of all kinds. Many of her fondest memories included the creatures, great and small, that she had raised or had as pets. Dee went on to attend the Creighton school of nursing in Omaha and earned her license as a Registered Nurse. On May 23, 1953, she married George Daley and together they raised two sons, Patrick and Joseph. They later moved to Arizona in 1964. In 1969, George’s job with Motorola had the family relocating to Scotland where they lived for the next five years. Dee was always grateful for having lived abroad and the opportunity to experience and learn about another country. She thought of those years as a great adventure. After returning to Arizona in 1974, she continued her nursing career until her retirement in 1990. Dee is survived by her son Patrick (Michelle) Daley; granddaughters Marissa (Jake) Thielen and Rebecca (Alex) May; and great-granddaughter Eleanor Thielen Dee is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Myrna and Mildred; brother James; and son Joseph. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. https://jdrfac.com/donation/
