Dog Haus, with three Valley locations, has added three new Hawaiian-influenced items to its offerings to drive donations throughout September for those devastated by the recent wildfires.
Dog Haus Culinary Director and Würstmacher Adam Gertler in recent weeks created the new items for the gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger restaurant. For every sale of these offerings $1 will be donated to the Hawai‘i Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund.
Valley Dog Haus locations include 430 N. Scottsdale Road, Tempe; 2224 E. Williams Field Road, Suite 107, Gilbert; and 2780 W. Chandler Blvd., Suite 8, Chandler. The downtown Phoenix location is temporarily closed currently.
The new selections are:
Ohana Chicken Sando —Crispy, fried chicken tender topped with chili crisp, spicy mayo, teriyaki aioli, Haus slaw and pepper, all sandwiched in a King’s Hawaiian bun.
Mighty Moa Wings — Traditional bone-in wings tossed in teriyaki aioli and topped with spicy mayo, chili crisp and scallions.
Aloha Spirit — Available exclusively at select Biergarten locations, the island-inspired cocktail is made with rum, Aperol, orange curaçao, lime and pineapple.
"It’s a privilege to bring people together through food while supporting communities in their time of need, and this is one of those times,” founding partner André Vene shared in a press release.
Since 1916, the Hawai‘i Community Foundation has helped all its island communities thrive. The Maui Strong Fund was created in response to the wildfires, supporting the immediate long-term recovery needs of the people and places affected.
The first Dog Haus opened in Pasadena, California, in 2010.
