Documentary in the works about teacher scandal at Peoria school

Plans are in the works for a documentary about the saga that has become a nationally talked about sex scandal involving two teachers at Centennial High School in Peoria.

The film will follow the more than year-long story of teachers Haley Beck and Angela Burlaka and their involvement with a former varsity Centennial football player.

The yet unnamed project will be produced by New York-based production company Cinemart, whose credits include a variety of documentary films and true-crime series: "American Murder: Gabby Petito" (2025); "Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets" (2023); "Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal" (2023); and "Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story" (2018).
