Doctor: COVID-19 crisis not done yet — be careful

Arizonans urged to continue social distancing, hygiene, mask wearing

The American poet Robert Lowell is credited with this winking warning: “The light at the end of the tunnel is just the light of an oncoming train.”

But the poet’s humorous quip, evocative and metaphorical, resonates with the warning of one local doctor, who says while vaccination is finally underway, we are still far from safety as the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis rages.

Even as many residents seem to be lowering their guard, the danger still grows, according to Dr. Scott Anderson, chief medical officer at Banner’s Boswell and Del Webb hospitals in the Sun Cities.
