Surprise police arrest Mesa coach for alleged crimes with minors

Surprise Police make arrest but don't say why they were involved

Mesa Dobson football head coach Richard Godsil was arrested on campus Thursday morning and charged with crimes involving youth but unrelated to students at the school.

Surprise Police arrested Godsil and charged him with furnishing harmful items to minors and aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation.

This investigation is ongoing, and no additional information will be released until next week, said Surprise Police Public Information Officer Chris Thomas.
