An estimated 1,400 Peoria Unified students participated in walkouts weeks ago protesting the Immigration and Customs Enforcement killings in Minnesota, and other grievances against the Trump administration.
Administration released the numbers at a recent governing board meeting, and nearly all the district’s high schools participated in the walkouts, with more than 200 students deciding to participate at most of them.
An estimated 400 Ironwood students walked out and an estimated 315 Centennial students walked out.
