Dismissing superintendent would cost SUSD around $500,000

Menzel still owed two years on current contract

It doesn’t look like Scottsdale Unified School Superintendent Dr. Scott Menzel is going any where anytime soon.

Despite calls from local legislators and some members of the community for Menzel’s dismissal, district governing board members have had no meetings or discussions about relieving Menzel of his duties.

Governing board president Julie Cieniawski said during the board’s Feb. 21 meeting that she supports Menzel.
