Discussion on Mockingbird Lane sidewalk points to final approval

Council decision still to be made for its inclusion

A potential sidewalk to be added to the east side of Mockingbird Lane is still in consideration as the Paradise Valley Planning Commission further reviewed its inclusion in the improvements from Lincoln to McDonald drives.

Originally approved by council on May 27, 2021, the town held three open houses and a study session about the Mockingbird Lane improvements, which revealed that many residents held grievances particularly for the sidewalk, according to a town staff report.

This sent the project back to Paradise Valley Town Council, delaying a final decision on its inclusion at its Dec. 8 meeting to allow the planning commission to review this addition and to conduct additional public outreach, as previously reported by the Independent.
