Completely different paths through youth girls basketball suddenly converged for Alyssa Fraulino and Miyah Verse in their final year of high school.
After playing for Flagstaff High as a freshman, Verse and her family moved to the Valley and played two years strictly for Arizona Elite, both in the summer AAU circuit and for the new Arizona Elite Prep in the early efforts for a national girls prep circuit.
Meanwhile, Fraulino barely played club basketball the past two seasons, instead playing volleyball and beach volleyball for the Mountain Lions.
