The Diamondbacks will open the 2025 season hosting the Chicago Cubs on Thursday, March 27. It won’t be the Cubs’ opener, however. They will have played two regular season games March 18-19 in Tokyo against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The 2025 MLB scheduled was released Thursday.
The D-backs’ final regular season home game will be Thursday, Sept. 25, and they will end the regular season with a three-game road series against the San Diego Padres, concluding Sunday, Sept. 28.
Below are the inter-league home series featuring less frequent visitors to Chase Field. American League teams will only visit Phoenix for one series every other year. Before a schedule change in 2023, it was much less frequent than that — the D-backs would only play most American League teams every third year and they would only visit Chase Field every sixth year.
The Texas Rangers, in addition to being Arizona’s 2023 World Series opponent, are the D-backs’ official inter-league rival, meaning the teams will play a two-game home series and two-game road series each year.
