Development was the common thread that ran through many of the top stories in Scottsdale in 2024.
Whether it was an almost clean sweep of anti-development candidates taking the mayor’s office and three city council seats to outrage at law enforcement and security technology company Axon’s plans to build 1,895 apartments as part of its proposed world headquarters, it was all about residents’ desire to stop development in town.
Development even played a key role in planning where to build more parking in Old Town.
