Detectives seize guns, ammo, drugs from Phoenix home
The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported Friday that detectives arrested a Phoenix man on a variety of charges after finding weapons and drugs inside a home.
On Aug. 18, AZDPS Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission detectives served a residential search warrant near 89th Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix following a criminal investigation, according to a release.
While serving the warrant, detectives seized 13 handguns, seven rifles, two shotguns, a crossbow, a sword and approximately 13,000 rounds of ammunition from the home.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported Friday that detectives arrested a Phoenix man on a variety of charges after finding weapons and drugs inside a home.
On Aug. 18, AZDPS Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission detectives served a residential search warrant near 89th Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix following a criminal investigation, according to a release.
While serving the warrant, detectives seized 13 handguns, seven rifles, two shotguns, a crossbow, a sword and approximately 13,000 rounds of ammunition from the home.
GIITEM detectives also found approximately 1,800 fentanyl pills in addition to “substantial quantities” of heroin and Xanax, the release stated.
Detectives arrested Matthew B. Brode, 42, of Phoenix on charges including misconduct involving weapons by a prohibited possessor, possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony and possession of a narcotic drug for sale, officials said.
