Detectives investigate fatal Camelback Road crash

A collision is being investigated after a truck struck a man while he was walking across Camelback Road.

At about 8:30 p.m. April 10, officers were called to 16th Avenue and Camelback Road where they found Rasguan Jones, 25, who was taken to a hospital. He did not survive.

Detectives learned Jones was walking across Camelback Road outside of any marked crosswalks when he was hit, according to a Phoenix Police Department release. The driver of the truck was driving east on Camelback Road when the collision occurred and showed no signs of intoxication while speaking with investigators.
