Details emerge over interim superintendent flip-flop at Peoria Unified

LaDouceur breaks silence, Tobey speaks out

Behind-the-scenes details are starting to emerge regarding the flip-flop removal of Ryan LaDouceur from the position of interim superintendent of the Peoria Unified School District.

After nearly a month of silence, LaDouceur has come forward stating he was threatened out of the position and given no reasons for it. Governing board President Jeff Tobey also opened up stating concerns about LaDouceur’s leadership style and about his lack of transparency regarding previous employment, as well as how he would handle the high-level role.

Tobey also said board member Heather Rooks received LaDouceur’s resume before the previous superintendent announced his resignation and before the interim superintendent job was posted.
