Details emerge about plane crash in north Peoria

More details have emerged about a small plane that crashed in north Peoria around 11:30 a.m. May 21.

A single-engine airplane overshot the runway while landing and struck a trailer at the former Pleasant Valley Airport in north Peoria.

In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration said the plane’s nose gear collapsed and two people were on board. Peoria Fire-Medical officials said the plane hit a travel trailer before coming to a stop, but the pilot and the passenger were not hurt, and no one was on the ground at the time.
