The Desert Foundation Auxiliary held its 57th annual New Member Cocktail Party at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Bates on April 23.

The organization holds the cocktail party in the spring for the active and associate members to meet and welcome new members and their husbands to the Desert Foundation Auxiliary organization, according to a press release.

This year Desert Foundation Auxiliary welcomed eight new members to its 60 member organization.

The new members are Mrs. Daniel (Sarah) Carlenzoli, Mrs. Paul (Amy) Gause, Mrs. James (Deidre) Gilligan, Mrs. Brent (Shannon) Gulbas, Mrs. Robert (Christina) Ryan, Mrs. Chad (Rachael) Stillwagon, Mrs. Bryce (Heather) Terveen, and Mrs. Christopher (Katherine) Zamora.

Following the DFA tradition, new members were presented with one white rose along with a turquoise shawl. The event included many DFA Cocktail Party traditional recipes and desserts planned by the Event Chair Mrs. Anthony (Jennifer) Pescatore and prepared by her committee and active members.
