Denson: West Valley Arts Council grateful for 50 years of community support

Posted

Have you heard? In 2023 West Valley Arts Council will be launching new initiatives that will increase our community's access to art and culture opportunities, expand the West Valley connection to world-class art and culture activities, and provide resources that facilitate investment in the creative economy.

Here's a sneak peek.

Cultivating art & culture has been our story for over 50 years, a story that supporters like you have helped us shape and write. Below is just a preview of some of the new initiatives taking shape in 2023. Your support today can help make these opportunities possible, and so much more!

  • Community Vision Boards -- Directly add your voice, ideas, and support by speaking into the shape and future of arts and culture in the West Valley.
  • WVAC Culture Pass -- Get exclusive access to benefits and opportunities with partnering organizations and venues across the West Valley, Phoenix and Arizona.
  • Expanded Gallery and Exhibit Locations -- We are pursuing more locations to support and promote local artists, and to host exhibits throughout the West Valley.

  • West Valley I/O Initiative -- We are developing broader relationships with venues, artists, and the art community beyond our own borders to bring world-class art into the West Valley, and to create even broader exposure for West Valley artists.
  • Graduating Our Current Programs -- We are laying the groundwork to make important programs like Creative Aging and Gallery 37 more self-sustaining and serve the demands of our rapidly growing communities.

These initiatives are just the first steps in an even bigger vision designed to continue our story for the next 50 years. With a revitalized mission, an invigorated staff, and a growing network of advocates and supporters, the West Valley Arts Council is excited to continue building and strengthening the creative economy of the West Valley.

Our five-year strategy prioritizes meaningful engagement while also ensuring that ALL have the opportunity to experience the transformational aspects of the arts. This has been our story for over 50 years, and we are excited to continue a new chapter where that story is being shaped directly by the community. That's YOU!

We cannot do this alone! West Valley Arts Council relies on the generosity of supporters like you! People who also envision the west valley as a world-class destination for art and culture, where ALL communities are connected and engaged.

Look over our  Strategic Initiatives, and as you plan your year-ending giving, consider contributing to West Valley Art Council. A gift of any amount would help achieve our goals for the next five years and write our story for the next 50.
