Dena passed away in the early hours of Saturday, October 5, 2024 in the comfort of her home in Sun City, AZ. She was born November 3rd 1932 in Logan Co. North Dakota and was nearly 92 years old at her passing. She grew up on a farm near the town of Burnstad, North Dakota with her two brothers Walter and Charles and her six sisters, Laverne, Mary, Edna, Joanne, Betty and Becky.
Dena married Elmer Stoller of Hazelton, North Dakota in 1953. Their first residence upon departing from North Dakota was in Seattle, Washington and from there Lodi, California then on to the San Francisco Bay Area with residences in San Mateo, Belmont and Daly City where she enjoyed working part time at Toto’s restaurant and being a mom to her two sons Gary and Jerry who attended and graduated from Westmoor High School in 1972 and 1973.
Dena and Elmer retired to Sun City, Arizona in 1984. Dena enjoyed residing in Sun City for the past 40 years. Playing golf, cards and other activities through the years with her family and friends. Dena was passionate about her ceramics hobby and enjoyed the process very much. She was unique and loved by all who got to know her. Dena will be dearly missed.
